Mahila Database
The Mahila database consists of records of books, monographs, institutional publications, research reports, government documents/ policy papers and conference proceedings/ papers and reports. The current numbers of database records are over 35,000. The characteristic feature of this database is that it also contains analytical entries from edited books. Similarly each individual paper from the conferences has been entered. This makes the Mahila database very comprehensive in terms of the research inputs.
Articles Database
This database comprises records of indexed news items and selected articles from newspapers and periodicals since 1994. Currently this database has approximately 23,000 records. On an average about 175 records are added every month.
Chitra: An Audio-Visual Database
The audio-visual material database has detailed information about various secondary sources on films, videos and other audio-visual relating to Indian and South Asian women. Presently, it has about 850 records and is being updated on a regular basis. This database is found especially useful for scholars teaching women’s studies.
Database of Periodicals
A database of newsletters/bulletins/ journals containing the basic information about the title along with its holdings is maintained. Currently, the database contains more than 500 records.
Institutional Database
A new data base is being developed regarding the Institutions, containing the name, address and activities. At present it has about 250 records.

Library in-house databases
The CWDS Library was one of the few research libraries which took the initiative, way back in April 1994 to computerize its bibliographic databases.
